    Played 88 games over four seasons in Major League Baseball for the Milwaukee Braves, Kansas City Athletics, Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals. Later went on to manage the Boston Red Sox for three and half seasons, compiling a 301-262 record.
